Description
Maize Germ Meal is a by-product of the dry milling of maize. Maize Germ meal is the dried germs from maize after the oil has been extracted.
Nutritional Attributes
Maize Germ Meal is high in starch, energy and protein with a good amino acid balance. The meal can be high or low oil content, fibre and energy due to the manufacturing process determining how much oil is removed. Suitable for all classes of livestock. Limits to feeding for ruminants depends on the oil content.
Storage and Handling
Material to have been stored in compliance with the MAFF Code of Practice for the Control of Salmonella. Will go mouldy if stored for long periods.
