Description
Rapeseed Extract is a by-product of oil manufacture, obtained by extraction of seeds of rape (minimum botanical purity 94%).
Nutritional Attributes
An oilseed co-product which is high in protein and has a good energy content. Can be used to replace soya in the diet, although lower in protein and energy. EU double zero feed varieties of rape should be used for feed which are low in both erucic acid and glucosinolates.
Storage and Handling
Rapeseed Extract should be stored at ambient/cool temperatures in dry flats stores. No heat should be applied to the material as it is subject to self ignition given combustible conditions.
